While many of the plants on the list are available from you local nursery, many are not and require special order from them. 

While our expected deliver date is Mid Feb 2026, that may change SO CHECK and refresh page often . Also Pickup location will be either Lake Forest, or Irvine. Some may be possible to pickup in Lahabra Heights .

Blueberry / pawpaw plants bulk purchase

 The price will be $5 per plant for members, and $7 for nonmembers, and we will accept cash, checks or credit cards (provided you pay the cc processing fee).  As the plants are to be delivered in boxes without pots, we are asking purchasers to bring plastic bags or pots  to carry them in after purchase.  The size of the root ball is reported to be  4x4x5” and they are 6 to 12” tall.  Go to  https://southoccrfg.org/bulk-purchase-list/    (this page ) OR https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf-Oxl0FZNEzeypzCyT3JDUNrizGgwPDh0nRGd9IH1CGUgJow/viewform?usp=sf_link to reserve specific cultivars.  The varieties available are listed below.  

We are also getting Pawpaw seedlings rooted in 3.25 x 3.25 size soil, at $7 each for members, $9 each for non members

WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPECTING DELIVERY TO BE MID FEBRUARY

Plants need to be picked up within 5 days of being delivered.

Biloxi

  1.   Southern  High-bush type cultivar. 
  2.   Chilling requirements are very low to nothing.  Standard height at maturity 5 feet. Width at maturity 3 feet.
  3.   Flowering is early due to the variety’s low to no chilling requirements. It is recommended to protect the plants from spring frosts during flowering, if the area planted is susceptible to frost.
  4.   Good drainage is beneficial for optimum growth.
  5.   The plants show good resistance to root diseases and leaf spot.
  6.   Hardiness Zones 11-8

Colibri

  1.   Southern High-bush type cultivar.
  2.   Chilling requirements are 200 hours.  Standard height at maturity is 4.5 to 5 feet. Plants are upright and slightly spreading with acceptable vigor.
  3.   Plants have exhibited resistance to Phytophthora cinnamomi and Botryosphaeria corticis, and Botryosphaeria dothidea in greenhouse conditions. 
  4.   Hardiness Zones 10-8

Galaxy

  1. Low Chill High-bush cultivar.
  2. Chilling requirements are very low 100 hours. 
  3. The mature height of the plants is 4.5 to 5 feet and upright with a width of 3 feet. Plants are high in vigor with acceptable growth in most soil types.
  4. Plants have exhibited resistance to Phytophthora cinnamomi.
  5. Hardiness zones 10-7

 

Misty

  1.   Height of bush is 6 feet at maturity.  The plant grows upright with a small crown at the base and straight narrow branching at the top.
  2.   Many growers rate the Misty as the number one plant for yield, flavor, and fruit quality.
  3.   Ornamental use of the bush is excellent. Plants grow vigorously and will not exceed 6 feet in height. Slender upright branches are graceful supporting pink to white flowers and deep green, semi-evergreen foliage.
  4.   Misty will pollinate any Southern High-bush cultivar.  
  5.   Hardiness Zones 10a-6b.

Pink Lemonade

Paloma/Haven

  1.   Southern High-bush cultivar 
  2.   Plants are vigorous growing to 5 to 6 feet tall and finely shaped upright.
  3.   Plants have excellent resistance to Phytophthora cinnamomi and other fungal diseases. Plants are self-fruitful and will not need a pollinator as other Southern High-bush cultivars are recommended to need. 
  4.   Hardiness Zones 10-7

Sharpblue

  1.   Southern High-bush type cultivar. Height of mature bush is 5 to 6 feet and is well proportioned. Sharpblue is fast growing and very vigorous.
  2.   Hardiness Zones 10a-7b

Sunshine Blue

  1.     Southern High-bush cultivar.  Mature bush is 3-4 feet tall and wide.
  2.     The plant is the best ornamental for low chilling areas.
  3.     Sunshine Blue seems to tolerate higher pH soils better than all other Southern High-bush and Rabbiteye types.
  4.     Hardiness Zones 10a-6b
